Like all the kids I too had the same mentality of leaving my house and joining a boarding school. After all I knew it was for my betterment only. But I was too young to make any decision for myself, I am happy to have such wonderful parents who took the decision for me and I have never regretted that decision.
I was in 2nd grade when I gave the entrance exam. I was nervous as I was not some genius in academics, yet I knew there was hope. I had heard my parents say that St. Peter’s is a school of change and that they give everyone a chance. And so, it was given to me. I was an average student in studies, when I started but gradually improved. I was emotional at the starting few weeks but I got used to the school environment very quickly.
It was the same feeling like home for me. I had my classmates to play with. I had teachers who corrected me and kept me disciplined as my parents would. St. Peter’s was now my second home and my teachers and friends became my family.
As the years passed there was a drastic change in my performance for the better. But the most important aspect was the change in my attitude and currently I am one of those students who is considered to be a scholar in the school.
